From Personal Experience to Purposeful Solution
Like you, everyone at KareTeam has their own story of caring for aging loved ones. Our founder, Patrick Bultema, grew up in a close-knit community of just 250 people—mostly Swedish immigrant farmers. In this small town, he was surrounded by grandparents and even four great-grandparents. As the newspaper boy, Patrick essentially served as the daily check-in for homebound seniors. The elders were treasured and supported by the entire community, representing its legacy and cherished values.
But this village-style care has become increasingly rare in today's highly mobile world.

Patrick vividly recalls visiting his great-grandfather, Harold Nelson, after dementia had forced him into a nursing home. The memory of Harold pleading, "Please, take me home," left an indelible mark that many of you likely understand all too well from your own experiences.

Beyond these personal connections, our team brings decades of professional expertise in aging services and senior living. We've witnessed firsthand both the growing desire of seniors to age in their own homes and the significant challenges this creates for families trying to provide support.
KareTeam grew out of this unique combination of personal passion and professional insight. We're driven by a deep commitment to honoring our elders while offering practical solutions that help families support the aging loved ones in their lives.​​​
